Roasted almonds are my personal culinary highlight at every fair, folk festival or Oktoberfest! But today I'll show you how you can make them yourself in just a few minutes, all year round and for a fraction of the price.

Roasted almonds

Ingredients

200g almonds
200g sugar
100ml water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch of salt

    Instructions

    Roast the almonds in the oven for 10 minutes at 150 degrees. Then bring the sugar, water and cinnamon to the boil in a pan without stirring. When everything is boiling, add the almonds and stir until the sugar mixture becomes "dry" (stir continuously!). Do not take the almonds out yet, but wait about 1 minute until the sugar melts slightly again and each almond is perfectly coated with sugar. Then put on a baking tray and leave to cool.
